KIDS CAMPS

Although each camp is different, they all have the same common theme of empowering youth to overcome past events as they grow in a fun environment. Summer camp is a time for children to join together in a special community where they develop a sense of independence, while trying new adventures away from home.

At Camp Southern Ground we believe in helping to grow more good into the world. We also know that families all across America want their kids to grow into good people. Yet today with our kids stuck behind screens, being bullied in schools, or just struggling to fit in and be themselves—goodness can seem hard to find! Camp Southern Ground wants to be the place where your child can have good fun, eat good food, connect with good friends, and learn the confidence to go put more good into the world.

Camp Hometown Heroes is a free week-long overnight summer camp for children and siblings of fallen U.S. service members. During their visit to camp, the children begin the healing process with other children who have experienced a similar loss, doing the summer activities that they love.

Through donations and fundraising, Friends Never Forget sponsors children of our fallen Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen to attend summer camps throughout the United States. The foundation provides the cost of camp, travel to and from camp, lodging and meals.

For nine years, A Soldier’s Child (ASC) Foundation has provided life-changing experiences for our ASC recipient children. ASC has accomplished this by creating a safe place for our kids to be themselves and interact with other children who have endured the loss of a military parent. Journey Camp is our week-long flagship camp where ASC children from all over the country attend. Journey Camp is a loving, challenging, safe environment where the kids can be themselves, let down their guard, trust and receive, love, honor and hope.  Journey Camps core values are, outdoor adventure, relationship building and healing.
