Emma W. is a senior majoring in Political Science at the University of Central Florida, a dream made much easier by the support of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation.

During Emma’s childhood, her dad, Navy Capt. Wade W., moved up the military ranks and pursued an accomplished naval career. Wade, a husband, father, and proud soldier, later became a victim of post-traumatic stress disorder.

Emma W. found special support and comfort from Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. Carrying on Wade’s legacy and striving to reach the dreams he had for his family, Emma has found a new normal.

Emma at Vineyard Vines Internship.jpg

Emma was awarded an internship with Vineyard Vines this summer. Shep and Ian Murray, Founders of Vineyard Vines, serve on Fallen Patriots Board of Advisors.

She has spent her days as a customer care intern, while also shadowing employees in the copywriting department.

“The copywriter that I shadow has pointed out that since my writing has been featured on our webpage I’m already a published writer, which I think is really cool,” explained Emma. “Overall it has been a really great experience and has actually given me a lot of insight on what I might want to do after college.”

The success of Fallen Patriots can be told by countless surviving scholars, like Emma. Fallen Patriots continues to work to honor those who are no longer with us by giving to those they left behind.
