Brittaney C. is the daughter of fallen U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Nicanor C. Jr. “My father was fun-loving and cared deeply for his family. He enjoyed raising me and my sister and had a lot of pride for us. He loved to joke around with friends and people would even think that he was our older-brother because of his interactions with us. ”

With the help of Children of Fallen Patriots, Brittaney graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with her Bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology in 2021. While in college, she served as Vice President of External Affairs and eventually as President of a multicultural organization. After graduation, Brittaney joined the Children of Fallen Patriots team as a Scholarship Administrator where she gets to assist other Gold Star families.

When asked about how Fallen Patriots impacted her during her time in college, Brittaney says,

Fallen Patriots provided me with the bandwidth to focus on school
and extracurriculars. With their help it was much easier to study and not have to worry putting extra hours into a job so that I could excel at school.

The vision of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is to ensure that every such child necessary college funding. Approximately 25,000 children have lost an active-duty parent during their term of military service. No centralized database exists of these families, and as a result, children who are eligible for our support can be missed. If you are a part of, or know of such a family, please reach out to us to see how we can support the need for educational funding.
