A college education is the key to unlocking future success and Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation (Fallen Patriots) is committed to ensuring each scholarship recipient receives all necessary funding to complete their degree. As Fallen Patriots aims to honor the sacrifices of those who have died defending our country, we believe this is an important investment in the future of America.

Since 2018, Fallen Patriots has been offering continued learning opportunities for college students and recent college graduates who have lost a parent in the line of duty. Through partnerships with various corporations, career symposiums provide scholars with the opportunity to meet professional across a wide spread of industries and have professional development sessions on topics like resumes, interviewing, and professional networking.

“We are honored by the support of the thousands of individuals and companies across America who have answered the call to support Gold Star families,” David Kim, co-founder and CEO of Fallen Patriots. “Not every patriot wears a uniform, and we are deeply grateful to all those who are rendering this important service to our military and their families.”

Earlier this year, Fallen Patriots scholars travelled to Atlanta for an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience with the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC. Students learned what it takes to work in the sports industry through interactive panels comprised of NFL and MLS staff members from a variety of professional backgrounds.

Thanks to the partnership with the Atlanta Falcons and relationship with Steve Cannon, CEO of AMB Group and Fallen Patriots Board Member, we were able to place one of our Fallen Patriots scholarship recipients in a ten-month internship with the Falcons. Brandon P., a 2017 graduate of Manhattanville College with his Master’s in Sports Business Management, attended the 2018 Atlanta Falcons Career Symposium and through connections he made at that event was able to transition into a full-time internship with the Falcons in their “Fan Experience” department.

If you are interested in learning more about career symposiums, please reach out. We would love to include as many scholars as possible in these future opportunities.
