Dulles, VA – Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation (Fallen Patriots) received a $25,000 donation on June 21, 2019 during the 25th Annual Nuclear Generator and Supplier Executive Summit, hosted by Utilities Service Alliance, Inc. (USA) at the Hyatt Regency, Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas.

“Many of you know we selected Fallen Patriots as our charity recipient last year and we were so impressed with their organization we have decided to support them again in 2019,” said John Christensen, President & CEO of Utilities Service Alliance. “USA is honored to support this wonderful organization for a very worthwhile cause.”

Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation provides college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. “We believe one of the best ways to honor our fallen heroes is to invest in the future of those they loved most – their children,” said David Kim, co-founder and CEO of Fallen Patriots.  “A college education is the key to a bright future for any child and the generosity of our supporters is making those hopes and dreams come true.”

The theme of the conference, “Ensuring Nuclear’s Clean Energy Future”, provided current updates on activities and efforts underway to ensure nuclear energy's future in the clean energy mix.  As many conference attendees and members in the nuclear power industry are committed to exceptional corporate citizenship, a charity fundraising “Casino Night” took place on June 19.  For a minimum donation of $75, guests could enjoy an evening playing Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and Texas Hold’em.  All proceeds went to Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation thanks to the sponsorship and generous underwriting of Curtiss-Wright and Frham Safety Products.
