Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation scholar Autumn R. is the daughter of U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Joshua R, who was. killed in action in 2007. When asked how others would describe her father, Autumn says, “Everyone I know that knew my father would describe him as incredibly sweet and caring. He was the perfect parent. So silly and kind, and an awesome uncle and friend.”

With the help of Children of Fallen Patriots, Autumn is a junior at the University of Nevada Reno when she studies Environmental Science. She plans on furthering her education by obtaining her PhD in Environmental Science after graduating with her Bachelor's degree in 2026. During her free time at the University of Nevada Reno, Autumn is a member of the university's American Sign Language club.

When asked about how Fallen Patriots is impacting her during her time in college, Autumn says,

Children of Fallen Patriots has been an absolute godsend. I was able to get a new computer with their help, one that I am actually writing on now, and the
money Fallen Patriots sends has kept me from some really difficult times.
Without them, I would probably not be in school or have the confidence to go as
far as I want to.

The vision of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is to ensure that every such child necessary college funding. Approximately 25,000 children have lost an active-duty parent during their term of military service. No centralized database exists of these families, and as a result, children who are eligible for our support can be missed.
